Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! We hope you had a fantastic summer and are off to a great start on your final year of high school. As a senior remember that you hold a very important leadership role in our school community. It is important that you model positive, healthy, mature, and responsible behavior, so the rest of the student body follows your lead. I hope that the Class of 2020 will seize this leadership opportunity and make this the best Gator year at LOLHS!
Just a few reminders. Seniors, please make sure you review the district’s attendance and tardy policies. Attendance is important! Therefore, as Seniors, you must be on time to school and class each and every day. If you were awarded a parking permit, remember you must remain on track all year to retain it. You will receive a grad plan by the end of October that provides you with all the information regarding your ability to graduate. If you are not taking an English class on campus, please schedule an appointment to see Mr. Moody at the end of the 1st quarter. Online classes need to be completed by the last week of April in order to confirm completion and a passing grade. Any on-line student who is taking a yearlong class and has not completed 1st semester by the return from winter break, will be placed in a face-to-face course for second semester.
Finally, some important dates and fees. This fall, Herff Jones will be at LOLHS to discuss cap and gown ordering, announcements, and other graduate items to purchase. The walking fee for graduation including cap and gown is approximately $80. Grad Bash will be held, Saturday, April 25th. The cost is approximately $125. Prom is scheduled for Saturday, April 11th. Tickets will be approximately $75. Please budget accordingly so that you have the ability to participate in these scheduled activities. All graduating seniors who intend to walk in the commencement ceremony will need to attend mandatory graduation practice on May 26th & 27th. Graduation is scheduled for June 5th at 3:00pm at USF
