Originally from Queens, NY, Ms. Lina LaBarbara started her teaching career in Cleburne, TX after graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1996. Then, moved back to Florida to work at her alma mater Gulf High School at first working in the Drop Out Prevention Program and then later teaching English.
 
She began working at Land O’ Lakes High School in 2010 as the Media Specialist. When the district eliminated that position in the county, Ms. LaBarbara transitioned back into the classroom teaching English again. She then took over the Journalism program in 2013 overseeing the Alligate yearbook and the Swamp Talk news show. 
 
Ms. LaBarbara’s passion for journalism grew out of closely following the tragedy of 9/11. She believes strongly in a free press that conducts itself with integrity when reporting facts and representing Land O’ Lakes High School.
 
She is extremely proud of Gatorpress and the work they put into crafting a quality yearbook and news show.

DISCLAIMER: Each year, we have a limited number of printed yearbooks. They sell out fast, and we do not have the ability to print more after we sell out. If you wait until the end of the year, you/your student may not be able to secure a yearbook. PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPT OF PURCHASE. 

Yearbooks are on sale for the 2025-26 school year. The earlier you purchase, the better the price! Books not picked up at the end of the school year will only be stored for the first semester of the next school year. After that, books will be released to be sold.

The Walsworth site offers yearbook stamping, extra autograph pages and covers, as well.

School Picture Day for grades 9, 10, & 11 

Picture day: Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025 (Students will be given a card that day to scan for online ordering.) 

Make up day: Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 

Students should make sure the spelling of their name is correct on the picture card that day. 

Clubs picture day and senior panorama will be taken on Thursday, January 29. There is no make up day for these photos. 

The senior pano picture will be available to purchase through Gigante Productions studio.

Senior Picture Information 

Senior pictures MUST be taken by our contracted photographer, Gigante Productions, in order to be included in the yearbook. BOTH a FORMAL and CASUAL photo are included on the page. So, you must take both. 

You can make appointments online at https://www.giganteproductions.com/ 

There is a sitting fee for the studio time with the photographer. You are not obligated to buy photos. 

If there is a hardship, please reach out to your school counselor to see if we can assist. 

PHOTOS TAKEN by mid-NOVEMBER will be able to choose your pose for the book. The last day to take a photo and be included in the yearbook is DECEMBER 5, 2025.
