We are excited to start the 26-27 school year tomorrow!  As we get into the first days of school, I wanted to provide a few updates surrounding parking.  First, at this time, we have reached expected capacity for student parking.  However, with many students attending portions of the day, it may be possible for us to issue more parking tags.  On Friday, August 14 at 2:30pm we will re-open the parking pass application that can be found on the LOLHS Website.  This will become a first-come, first served waitlist if we determined we have adequate parking to issue more tags.  If you want to be at the front of the line, be ready to submit that application at 2:30 on Friday.

Unpaid Fees
There are many students who have been approved for parking, but have unpaid fees.  These fees must be paid by 2:00 on Friday.  Any student with unpaid fees at 2:00 on Friday will be removed from being eligible to park on campus and have to reapply through the waitlist.  If there are financial challenges that require a little bit more time to pay fees, please reach out to Mr. Hostetler at jhostetl@pasco.k12.fl.us to come up with a plan.

Painting Fees
There is a small number of students who were permitted to paint spaces, but have not paid their painting and / or parking fees.  If these fees are not paid by 2:00 on Friday, your parking tag may be revoked and you may lose your painted space.  If there are financial challenges that require a little bit more time to pay fees, please reach out to Mr. Hostetler at jhostetl@pasco.k12.fl.us to come up with a plan.  If there is an issue with a fee not being visible, please email Mr. Hostetler as well.

Parking Tag Pickup
If you do not already have your parking tag, you will be able to pick them up Thursday and Friday during your assigned lunch, provided your fees have been paid.  On Monday, August 17th, all vehicles parked on campus must have a parking tag displayed.

Unauthorized Parking
Only students who have been approved for a parking pass should be driving to school on Thursday and Friday. If you have not applied for and been approved for an LOLHS parking tag, you cannot drive to school and park your vehicle.  If you had planned to be off campus for a portion of your day and your inability to drive necessitates you to be on campus, all day, please submit a schedule change request form with some desired courses to take on campus.  Vehicles that do not have a properly displayed tag will be cited and repeated offense could result in the vehicle being towed from campus at the owner’s expense.

Waitlist Updates
Students will receive a notification to their school email address if they become eligible for parking.  Students will then have one week from the date of notification to pay their fees and pick up their tags before other students will be given the opportunity.  Please note, there is no guarantee that parking spaces will become available.

Upcoming Construction
It may seem early in the year that the South Parking Lot has more available spaces than we are selling.  We are anticipating losing a significant number of parking spaces as construction begins on our new stadium project mid-year.  We are accounting for those spaces being gone later this year now, so we do not have a parking crisis later this year.
