Our prom theme this year is Le Fleur (flowers, pastels- French). Prom is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Venetian Event Center in Cross Creek (New Tampa) from 7 – 11pm. Senior ticket sales start at $85 on April 3, 2023. Tickets for seniors during the first week are guaranteed. Prices will increase to $90 on April 8, 2023 for juniors and seniors, and will no longer be guaranteed. Tickets go on sale for juniors during the morning of April 6, 2023. They will continue to be available to all eligible students for the next two weeks or until the event sells out ending on April 21, 2023. Guest forms will be available for submission between March 1-24, 2023. Students will be notified of the status prior to tickets going on sale. Students that are requesting to bring a guest should submit a completed form (see below) to the school by Friday, March 24. This is a hard deadline that provides us time to make our determinations.
Students may petition the school’s administration to review their off-track status. Students that are off-track may appeal during the week of March 6 – March 10, 2023. If the appeal is approved, students will complete the decision outcome during the two weeks from March 20 – March 31, 2023. Remember, students can appeal once per school year.
Please reach out to Mrs. Sabrina Hydes if you have any questions about the event. Her email is shydes@pasco.k12.fl.us.
If students are bringing a guest, they must fill out the guest form and turn it into the front office or student services. Students can bring a guest from other counties and or even another state. Guest forms are due by Friday, March 24 at 1:35PM, no exceptions.
If juniors/seniors are bringing an underclassmen as their guest, they will also need to fill out the guest form even if the students is a student at LOLHS and turn it into student services before buying the ticket.
Prom Dress Code
If your student is making plans to attend, please know that it is a formal event and should be treated as such by all patrons.
Clothing must cover the body from one armpit across to the other armpit and down to approximately mid-thigh. We know that many popular designs of clothing have an open back. Please consider our community standards and whether the garment is too revealing. Underclothes must not be viewable. Students will not be admitted wearing cargo pants, jeans, t-shirts, torn clothing, pajamas, chains/spikes, canes, sexually implicit or explicit clothes, shorts, sneakers, slippers, hats and head coverings, bandanas, glow sticks or items referencing tobacco or alcohol products. All patrons must stay appropriately dressed throughout the event.
If you have questions concerning attire, it is your responsibility to seek prior approval from the administration. Any potential issues should be resolved at least one week prior to the event.
A student and their guest (if applicable) may not be permitted to attend prom if their clothing, items, accessories and apparel are considered inappropriate for the event. They will be asked to leave, and a refund will not be granted. Students may also be subject to discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
We are happy to work with our students and parents to make this a special night.
